In His Youth, John Did A Bit Of Traveling While Touring With National Music Acts; Among Those Was A Two-Year Stint With “The Super Freak” The Late Rick James, As Well As ZZ Top, Gladys Knight & Luther Vandross. In 1988, After Several Years Of Touring, John Became A Nationally Registered Paramedic With The Washington, DC Fire & Emergency Medical Services Department. John Advanced To The Position Of Lieutenant And Was Part Of The Security Detail That Protects The President Of The United States. In 1999 John Created John Farr Lighting Design As A Second Income To His Paramedic Skills.
In 2003 The Company Expanded At Such A Rate That John Left The DC Fire Department To Return Full Time To Lighting Production.
John Currently Lives In Maryland With His Dog “Sinatra” Where He Tries His Best To Balance His Love Of Driving 170+ MPH in a Dragster With Not Losing Too Much At The Card Tables.

Since Joining John Farr Lighting Design In 2005 From A Local Competitor That Fell On Hard Times, Larry Has Continually Provided The Quality Leadership That Has Defined Our Company. In His Current Position In Production, Larry Is Responsible For Managing The Equipment For Every Project That John Farr Lighting Design Supports.
Larry Has Years Of Event Experience, Working For Premier Production Companies In A Variety Of Roles. A Graduate Of The University of Maryland, Larry Has A Love Of Event Production That Brings An Artful And Polished Eye To His Work. His Calm, Professional Approach To Production Has Made Him Very Popular With Our Clients And His Staff, And It’s This Ability To Calmly Move Any Project Forward Towards Success That Has Become His Trademark.
Since He Began With John Farr Lighting Design, Larry Has Become One Of The Most Requested Technicians On The Roster. Larry Has Played A Key Role In Moving John Farr Lighting Design Into The Computer Age By Actively Staying On Top Of Trends And Equipment. He’s Trained in All Aspects of Computers, And Oversees John Farr Lighting Design's Support Systems.
Because Of His Computer Skills And Calm, Professional Approach To His Work, John Farr Lighting Design Is Exceedingly Proud To Have Larry On The Front Lines.
